Google Code Hosting vs Sourceforge

From your experience, what is better than SF.net or Google code?

Publish open source? What is indexed faster in a search engine, so it has more exposure?

Of the two, you asked, I would personally say, Google Code because of the uniformity of all projects. The Google Code project is similar to all other Google Code projects. It is very easy to find the information you need due to the fact that all GC projects have the same layout, indicate project activity, the ability to manage the GC project website through version control. It just provides a simple, intuitive interface for you and your community with powerful tools for remotely managing it.

Personally, I suggest github. This is all I talked about above, but with the ability to use Git. Almost all esk code archive sites provide you with the same features as another way to interact with the user.

Also, a personal note, I'm just leaning from Sourceforge because it always looks so busy no matter what page you're on. This is somewhat unpleasant and unnerving.

I used to be on SF, but I moved all my code to google. SF is simply too restrictive - they require approval for both creating a project and deleting a project. Google gives you great flexibility. You can even reset your Google repository if you need to.

Also SF is just hard to navigate and control. Google is simple and straightforward - as mentioned above, just find the information you need.
