Anything better than ruby alchemy for keyword extraction?

I am currently writing an algorithm in Ruby based on the arc90 readability code to retrieve an article from a web page.

Now that I have an article, I want to extract keywords and specific information from it (names, author, etc.)

I heard that Alchemy was a great ruby stone for this, although it consumes a lot of resources. Are there any better stones that I can use for this?

There is an OpenCalais stone that provides a similar opportunity. In addition to retrieving an object, it can also detect events and relationships between entities. This is a difficult weight, although I could not say whether it is better or worse than Alchemy, because I did not use the stone of Alchemy. Hope this helps.

A quick, easy, and easy to use gem for extracting keywords from longer content:

https://rubygems.org/gems/highscore

I use it in production, it works like a charm.

The question is a little older, but I will leave it here for others who come from Google to see this question.
