Is there a naming convention for RPM files in LSB?

RPM is the package format in LSB, but LSB enforces any naming standard for RPM in a similar way:

In the relevant section of the LSB Book , Packaging , only

  • to prefix your package with lsb-
  • to register part of your package name before the first hyphen in LANANA (or for your domain name).

However, the standard wrapper of the LSB packaging tool, makelsbpkg , says to generate package names in the form mypackage-1.0.0-1.%arch.rpm , which I think is the name-version-release.architecture.rpm scheme with which you contacted.

(I think he assumed the package name ( mypackange in the example above already contains the lsb- prefix. I'm not sure I never ran this tool.)
