Here the results are based on my own function detection tests:
var supportsWorkers = !!window.Worker;
- iOS 4.0.2: no (simulator)
- iOS 4.0.1: no (simulator)
- iOS 4.0: no
- iOS 3.1.3: no
- iOS 3.0: yes
iOS 2.2.1: no (iPhone 2G)
Android 2.2: none (Nexus One and emulator)
- Android 2.1-update1: yes
- Android 2.1: yes
- Android 2.0: yes
- Android 1.6: no
Android 1.5: no
BlackBerry 6: yes (tested on BB 9800 Torch)
- webOS 1.3: no (emulator)
- Fennec / 1.0b1: yes (emulator)
Some of them were tested on real devices, and some on an emulator. The results are interesting. It looks like it was turned on and then turned off later on both Android and iOS. Keep in mind that this is just a functional test, not an actual functional test.
