UIBackgroundModes key does not appear in Info.plist drop-down list

Question

I am trying to upgrade an old project for iPhone to accept background audio streaming, however the “Required Background Modes” button does not appear in the Info.plist drop-down menu.

I installed the base SDK in 4.0. Is there another project setting that determines which Info.plist keys are available?

Open Info.plist as a regular text file and add:

<key>UIBackgroundModes</key> <array> <string>audio</string> </array>

You can open plist as a text file and enter the key yourself.
