Raising the ZF2, is it worth it now?

I have been a web developer for the last 8 years (although I would only consider the second half of that time as real experience)

Last year, I made several business applications based on the Zend Framework, and it was convenient for me to communicate with them.

Now I have been offered a position to launch a startup on the technical side, I am very excited because I am given the freedom to make important decisions, and I urge the use of new technologies to make our product “advanced”.

So, my question is for you more experienced guys: is it worth it to build ZF2? Will the transition to learning new ways be able to? How does coding style change? Is it possible to start with the current available version and rely on future versions to be compatible? Are the benefits of ZF2 vs 1 large enough to warrant investing my time in adoption when you come across a job like mine? Are there even more important questions I should ask?

Thank you, all the tips are very appreciated :)

The most important feature of ZF2 is the namespace. There are also several efforts to automatically download and consolidate the sending process. Although I don’t think it’s good to take ZF2 now. I suggest sticking to stable 1.X until the release of stable ZF2. even after the first stable version in the first months there will be many improvements, so I think 3 to 6 months after the first stable work is a good time to use "real life" ... therefore it IS NOT from me :)

ZF2 is not ready yet and will not be stable until mid-2011. There will be many changes, but the coding style will remain the same. Therefore, stick to 1.X for the moment.

Stability takes time. The first releases will have many updates in a short time. Therefore, I do not think that it will be good for industrial production. Maybe next summer;)
