Lazarus is an IDE for Free Pascal that runs on Mac OS X (among other platforms). Mandatory screenshot here .

Note. Lazarus supports two sets of widgets (Carbon and QT), the third in Alpha (COCOA), most screenshots will now be in the Carbon port.

The actual Delphi for Windows, which allows you to compile your Macintosh applications, was promised by Embarcadero (current Delphi owners).

The IDE will be a Windows product, but executables will work on a Mac.

It was supposed to take place this year, but was not ready for the September release of the latest version of Delphi. Most likely, pre-release versions for existing Delphi customers will be available in a few months, but the actual product will probably not be released until September 2011.

Here's the update.

In Delphi XE-2, you can now create and compile your own 32-bit Mac OS X programs.

Delphi Prism XE is a Visual Studio add-on that supports both .NET and Mono. This includes the version of MONO used by the Mac. This is not an ideal solution, and I could not check if it really works, since I do not have a Mac. But I have Prism, and now my .NET environment allows me to write Delphi applications for Mac. Again, too bad, I don’t have a Mac, otherwise I could tell you how good it is !. It seems that the Delphi Prism IDE can also be installed as a standalone compiler with its own IDE on Mac. Again, I have not tested this. I just know that it has this parameter since I saw it during installation.

As Frank Shearar already said that Lazarus is the IDE of Pascal, which will now be the best solution for the Mac.
