Is the HTML selection element selected by all browsers?

Can I use the <marquee> HTML element yet? I mean, is it supported by all browsers? I know that Twitter uses it, I think it’s good for ads, and I would like to use it, but I don’t know if it will work properly. Somebody knows?

No, it was DEPRECATED from the W3C.

Good luck

EDIT:

An alternative to highlighting is to display the entire line in a range or div for accessibility.

EDIT2:

I can’t be sure, but at first glance, Twitter doesn’t use it, BUT even if they used it (which they don’t need), you should not follow their bad examples, they can be wrong too! :)

EDIT3:

You say that this works in all browsers, although this may be true, because modern browsers try to be as compatible as possible, but you must bear in mind that good discipline always meets the standards.

Why? Many reasons: for example, a mobile browser (more popular every day) does not have enough memory for desktop browsers such as FF Chrome and IE, and they may not display toy content correctly.

EDIT4:

I just realized that you were talking about “moving” trends, I really regret the reason, for the sake of completeness, here is one example:

<marquee> and <blink> , along with such abominations as 18 cm bold pink text in comics on a light purple background, were delighted with amateur web designers during the 90s because they were “neat” and supposed to experience true death when they closed geography.

The fact is that they are an eyesore. They continue to revive forever. A much better plan is to use javascript to scroll through something at once , for example, when SO reports that you have new answers or that you have earned an icon. Pay attention to users without distracting them all the time on the page.

Just use span or div and create animation in it using jQuery or custom javascript :)
