I need to download a file from the Internet. Which way is preferable

• WebRequest / WebResponse
• Webclient

WebClient simpler and provides a DownloadFile method that should do what you want.

If you need more control over the process, you can switch to using WebRequest . WebClient - a wrapper around WebRequest / WebResponse .

WebClient will be easier to operate, although it will offer less control.
