Linked Server in SQL Server Express

I am developing an application where I have a local database in SQL Server Express. While working in the local database, we need to execute a query on another SQL Server / live server and return a value, and with this value we execute a query on the local server.

This is normal when you execute this query against 2 or 3 queries, but I have about 5,000 entries on which I need to execute the same process. I did this using a style, but it takes too much time.

I found that we can run a query on multiple servers.

Can I run a query on SQL Server Express and a server at the same time and run all my queries in this style?

I can only run a request from an expression on the server.

Yes, you can. Install LinkServer on SQL Express, and then just submit your query in four-part name format

server. database. scheme. an object

Example

select * from LinkServer.mydatabase.dbo.Table
