Grouping Eclipse Logical Directories

Is there a way, using the Eclipse IDE, to have a β€œmain” folder containing several related projects?

The reason I want this is because I have several Maven web applications. With Maven, there is usually a β€œmaster” project that builds all dependent projects. Without the ability to logically group these projects in Eclipse, my project structure looks something like this:

--master-proj1 --proj1-core --proj1-dep --master-proj2 --proj2-core --proj2-dep

And, of course, they will be sorted alphabetically, which is even worse. I would rather have a couple folders where I can store each project:

--project1 --master --core --dep --project2 --master --core --dep

Is it possible?

You can create work sets for top-level groups, such as project1 and project2 (Package Explorer View Menu - a small triangle in the upper right corner> Configure Work Sets ...), configure package explorer to consider them as top-level items (Explorer View Menu packages> Top Level Elements> Workspaces) and add dependent projects to them (using drag and drop or Configuring Workspaces ...).

A workspace is considered a logical grouping of many related projects.
Now I have 3 workspaces, one for working in Python, one for working with Servlets and a "platform" :-)

At any time, when I run out of ideas for one job, I can go to File β†’ Switch Workspace and do another.
