I am a guy with .NET / C #. I am working on an application that will have about 200 different data entry screens. For me, exposing the DTO as a collection for CRUD (IUpdatable and IQueryable) is the easy part, I can do it in a dream :-).
What I'm trying to solve is what type of front-end technology will allow me to quickly develop these data entry screens. They should not be fancy, but they are not just an ordinary grid, and on average they have about 15 form fields and some data validation on the client side (no db search)
The options I'm looking at are
Use ExtJS on the front and REST / JSON on the back.
ASP.NET RIA, but I don't know SL (well, XAML)
Normal ASP.NET/MVC
One of my ideas was that the DTO would contain metadata about the form (As Attributes), and the form could be dynamically generated, but I do not want to reinvent the wheel if there is an easier way.
I looked at the RAD software, but they all look at the DB and generate screens. I would prefer something that can look at my DTO and create screens.
