Where can I find a good guide to writing C Collections?

I remember reading a very good collection writing guide. By this, I mean that he described the use of macros to generate types with type parameters, such as similar C ++ templates. I'm not sure if it was written by Rusty Russell, but it was the one I recognized. This was published on hackernews or proggit ... I wanted to write a new C library and searched google for the last 30 minutes for this guide to no avail. Does anyone remember?
