Is open source .NET libraries available for writing ANSI 837 files to EDI?

We have data stored in the database, and we need to create an ANSI 837 file from this data. Are there any open source frameworks available for this in .NET?

Why not use a standard resolver instead of trying to encode this beast? There are many minefields (ISA / GS wrap, control numbers, HL segments, loop cycle) that EDI translators already have built-in dictionaries for use.

While not open source, there is a company that provides programming tools that can help your business: http://www.edidev.com/ (more precisely: http://www.edidev.com/edidev_hipaa_support.htm ).

http://chiapas.sourceforge.net

It can be executed from the command line or integrated as a C # component. It has a 76-page PDF manual that covers many features, check it out.

Check out the open source .NET X12parser . He has already received fairly reliable support for the X12 formats for healthcare (including 837). You simply provide the 837 data in XML format and create a valid X12 file.
