Is the specified CSS body width safe?
Now very often content with a certain size in the center.
<html> <head> <style type="text/css"> #content { margin: auto; width: 960px;} </style> </head> <body> <div id="content">Blah!</div> </body> </html> Is it possible not to use the shell for alignment and size and apply it directly to the body tag? Like this one :
<html> <head> <style type="text/css"> body { margin: auto; width: 960px;} </style> </head> <body> Blah </body> </html> Size is safe, but margin: auto centering is not complete.
You must add text-align: center to the body style in order to center it in IE6. (Yes, I know, this makes absolutely no sense, but it works with IE6)
