Primary interactions for Microsoft Office applications

I am trying to install Interop Assemblies for Microsoft Office on my web servers, to use reading text documents from my site.

Is it possible to install only assemblies? Or the only way to install an office suite?

An exception:

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

You need to install the full version of Microsoft Office if you want to use this functionality. The internetworks themselves do not provide any functionality, rather, they, in turn, call functions from Microsoft Office itself. Therefore, you will need to install Office on the web server.

Alternatively, you can use Office Sharepoint Server, which allows web users to create content for MS Office documents.

You need to install the DLL for Interop compilations for different versions. Most of them are available in the Visual Studio DLL assembly repository.
