I think I remember the “official” site (perl.org or cpan.org) that had a preview of the POD. One uploaded the file and it will display the contained POD as it appears in CPAN. Someone has this link. I can't seem to find him.
metacpan.org a preview of POD on the Internet is at https://metacpan.org/pod2html . Either paste the POD into the text box, or click the "Find File ..." button, select the POD file you want to view (it could be a .pm file, including Perl code), and click "Render".

For an offline Pod renderer in the style of search.cpan.org see pod2cpanhtml .
This question is about rendering CPAN POD, but it was also the best Google search for online rendering of POD, not just the official one. In addition to the official CPAN, there is an “on the fly” created by Michał Wojciechowski, which I found very useful:
http://podwebview.odyniec.net/
He wrote a blog post about this and posted code on GitHub if the above link stops working.
