IPhone shutdown in simulator

This may seem like a strange question, but can I actually close the iPhone and restart it in the iPhone simulator? I want to do this to check if my settings are saved and restarted when the application restarts AFTER the shutdown.

thanks

Yes. Press Command + Q to exit the simulator.

This will close all applications running in the simulator.

When you press the home button returns only to the main screen, without leaving applications (ios 4 or later) due to multitasking.

You can also double-click the Home button, click and hold the icons at the bottom of the screen until a red circle appears, and click on the red circle to close the running application.

As in Xcode 9, the best way to close one simulator is to use the shortcut Cmd + W or go to File β†’ Close Window.

If your xcode is 9. Now you can turn off the simulator by long pressing the power button.
