Turn on your computer automatically when there is A / C power

To protect against a power failure (which may be relatively common in my situation) for the hardware setup powered by the mini PC, I need the computer to turn on automatically and as soon as possible when A / C power is available. I heard that in some BIOSes it is possible to automatically turn on a computer powered by A / C (exactly what I want), but the computer that I am currently using (Giada N20) does not have this option in the BIOS.

The closest thing in this case is the RTC alarm, which wakes up the computer at a certain time, but I just want to wake up ALL computer if it is turned off. Wake-on-LAN seems like an unnecessary hack in my case, because it requires the server to constantly try to wake up the computer.

Is there anything else I can do to automatically turn on the computer? Thanks.

True, many BIOSes provide options for recovering power from AC loss. Most support this, and I believe that the chipset in the system you mention actually has this support. All you have to do is enable the correct PCI register from the OS.

It looks like someone did this on Ubuntu here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1209576

Hope this helps.
