Pooling in Netty

Question

I am trying to create a reverse proxy with Netty, and I would like to keep the open socket pool on the server servers, and not every incoming socket requiring a new socket from the reverse proxy to the server.

Can you do it with Netty? How?

Well, answering my own question, there is a good example of how to do this in the LittleProxy source code. In particular, endpointsToChannelFutures should be used in HttpRequestHandler.java.
