Which one is the best COMET server?

I am looking for a COMET server, I want messages from the server to be specifically for some users with some identifiers, I use php, and I am looking for a nice and simple COMET server.

Could you tell me which one is better?

This is subjective without any details. We examined the capabilities of APE, Node.js and others - all offer slightly different strengths / weaknesses.

If you are only interested in functionality and you do not want to develop your competencies or own the responsibilities of managing your own comet server, then there is a rather mature "comet" as a service offer. I used Pusher in a recent project, it delivered everything we needed and could be a good place to start.

The choice of comet server depends on which application you are developing. If you have plans to port your application to mobile platforms in the future, you can go WebSync . It is easy to use, provides a simple API for publishing from a javascript client, from PHP, from an iOS client, as well as from a .NET client. In addition, you can use Websync either as a server or on demand. But the fact is that the free version of WebSync allows you to use only up to 10 simultaneous clients. If you want more, you have to buy.

I also looked a bit at APE . This is fully open source, and all of your code must be written in Javascript, which may be a little inconvenient in some cases. Make your choice according to your needs.
