I need to change the numbering of my sections from Arabic to Roman, beets to keep the Arabic numbering in subsections and subsectors. For example:

1.1.1. Sub subsection

II. Section

2.1 Subsection

...

So, I know that with sections I can do "\ renewcommand \ thesection {\ roman {section}}", but this command also changes the subsections and subsections, for example:

I. Section

I.1. Subsection

I.1.1. Sub subsection

II Section

II.1. Subsection

...

Therefore, I need to keep subsections and subqueries from Roman numbering.

These two lines did it for me:

\renewcommand \thesection{\roman{section}} \renewcommand \thesubsection{\arabic{section}.\arabic{subsection}} 

The subsequence also works, I suppose, because it takes the number of its section from the subsection.
