After researching, I find this to be a great base app: https://github.com/dannymcc/BaseApp2

It provides the following:

  • Global links
  • Additional side panel
  • Notification, Warnings, and Error Messages
  • To simplify layout development, both the default style sheet and the clean one are included.
  • Default Toolbar Page
