Vim features: Find in buffers that resemble those in TextMate

In TextMate, you can drag one or more files onto the icon and use Find in Project to search for these files, can it be replicated for the current open buffers in Vim?

Grep lgrep vimgrep lvimgrep

These commands can help you. Check here if this is what you are looking for.

I like LustyExplorer , which has a very fast and convenient buffer search function.

Ack.vim works in some way, but is based on the file system.

Out of the box, Vim does not have project management features, but as mentioned by sat, you can use the grep command to search for something in files or subdirectories.

However, you can install project.vim , which is a plugin that allows you to manage multiple files (including searching a la Textmate)
