Are OBJECT & EMBED objects always?

I have a website that I made, on which I broadcast the video, its beginning looks pretty cool, but the menu I made in CSS is always under the video, so some of the links disappear behind the object.

Does anyone know if I can fix this, I think I tried z-index once to no avail?

I just tried this question since this is also my problem.

Set wmode="transparent" (transparent background) or wmode="opaque" (an opaque background affected by bgcolor ).

The default value is window , which means that the object will have its own โ€œwindowโ€, so nothing affects the web page at all. If you set it to transparent or opaque , it will become "part of the page."

how

 <object ...> <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> ... <embed wmode="transparent" ...></embed> </object>

This applies only to Flash AFAIK.

Which object is displayed using object / embed tags? Is it a flash? If so, you can set the wmode parameter to transparent or opaque to restore x-order control.

For more information, see this technical note from Adobe .

If you do not show Flash, you need to look at the available options from the plug-in provider (for example, Apple for Quicktime, etc.) to see if there is anything like that on sale.

They are not โ€œalways on topโ€ by definition, but some plugins do not quite support Z-ordering, and some need additional options to enable elements on top of the video. Flash, for example, requires a wmode parameter to obey Z ordering.

Which plugin are you using?
