See also the IOS Developer Program License Agreement in 11.12 on the App Store Review Guide. I see this in Appendix 2, section 1. 1.11, that "you cannot use the API to purchase applications to offer products or services that will be used outside of your application."

Yes, that's right. Please note, however, that if you use an alternative payment mechanism, Apple still wants to reduce them by 30%.

Indeed, it seems that your assumptions are correct.

The quote from the Apple Guide is 11.3. Applications that use IAP to purchase physical goods or goods and services used outside the application will be rejected.

This is confirmed by applications that are already in the Apple application store, such as Groupon, Fandango, Chegg and others, which charge users credit cards for physical goods or goods consumed outside the application, without transferring the transaction through Apple.

I believe your interpretation is correct. Although in-app purchases should also be priced at poitns, you cannot just enter the amount.

Apple does not make a 30% transaction if it is for the physical good.

As stated above for such products, the application must use a different mechanism, and then Apple IAP to take money. This answer is checked by applications and companies with which I work.

Other libraries for physical payments for iOS may be: Card IO, PayPal , ZooZ, and possibly others.
