Can I use the new Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview to publish regular applications now?

In short: if I download and install the new Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview on my Mac and start developing new applications for iOS 5, can I use it to develop and release iOS 4.x applications?

I have no way to install two different versions of this platform right now. Perhaps some of you have tried and can answer.

The iOS 5 beta Notes link associated with the new version of Xcode seems to be broken.

Thanks!

No, you can only send official versions of the tools to the application store, not the beta version.

See also Jano's comment above, on the dev forums it has been confirmed that you cannot use beta tools.

If you are not chronically behind the disk space, you can use the disk tool to resize the current partition and install the new OS in the second partition, in which you then install all the beta tools. (You can also install the OS on a removable FireWire drive.)

I prefer to store all beta tools in a completely separate OS installation, since then there is no danger that I will end the state when I can not publish applications, and publishing applications is what makes me make money.
