With windows 8 demonstrating "native HTML 5 applications."
The first thing I think about is whether WPF has a place in this world of HTML 5. This is similar to what Silverlight will adhere to, but I have to ask: where does WPF fit into the big picture that microsoft paints?
All that was said is (and where Silverlight, XNA and C ++ fit in) will be announced at the BUILD conference in September. A lot of rumors and speculation, but no announcements.
Too early to speak. Just because Microsoft has demonstrated a specific feature does not mean that it discards everything else.
