What IDE to use for Javascript on Ubuntu 11.04?

I used to develop / debug Javascript on Windows using Visual Studio. Now I started working on Ubuntu, and I don’t feel comfortable with the default editors (vim, gedit, etc.). Do you have an IDE to offer me? (Paid license accepted, ideally with jQuery support).

There's Aptana, which is a really good development environment, but for practical purposes, you can always use a lightweight editor like Emacs, ViM, or even Gedit or nano if you want to keep it simple. For what you're looking for, Aptana sounds the best. Since the other person suggested Webstorm is also not bad (at least I heard) the company I worked with used it very little and liked it, so it’s worth a try, although it certainly pays.

Well, I would say Netbeans , it is free and has good autocomplete for jQuery (and YUI). In addition, on autocompletion, you can see supported browsers for the selected methods.

Use Eclipse for the JavaScript editor . Use it with the colorer plugin (enable the Colorer editor).
