From emulator.exe -help-all
-no-audio disable audio support
========= help for the -no_audio option:
use '-no-audio' to disable all sound support in the emulator. this may, unfortunately, be necessary in some cases:
at least two users reported that their Windows machine rebooted instantly if they did not use this option when starting the emulator. it is very likely that the problem is related to audio driver errors.
on some Linux machines, the emulator may get stuck at startup with sound support enabled. this problem is hard to reproduce, but seems to be related also to flaky support for ALSA / audio driver.
Try:
Open the command in the android-sdk / tools folder
emulator.exe -no-audio -avd YourAVD
