How to record video on your screen inside ios app with code?

Question

Like the ShowMe app in the Apple store, users can draw and record actions as videos. Do you guys know how to do this in code? Thanks!

We recently had this question, and we found a fantastic article that uses your presentation layer and media format.

We changed it to use the presentation layer instead, instead of ...

[self.layer renderInContext:context];

using...

 [[self.layer presentatationLayer] renderInContext:context];

... it also captures the transitions of the animation block. Very neat.
