Can I get the actual price of Kindle books through the Amazon product advertising API?

Question

I may be missing something obvious, but I cannot find a group of answers that returns the actual price of a Kindle book. There is no problem getting the price listed, but it’s not useful to me if the book is at a discount.

Is this API supported?

Unfortunately, at this time, bidding on Kindle Items is not a supported product advertising API. A list of prices, however, is provided by the API.
