Can I use multiple CSS classes for each tag?

I am starting a new web project and would like to know if I can safely use several CSS classes at the moment.

<div class="float-left bold bordered"></div>

Does it support most common browsers or is a significant part of my visitors encountering serious problems viewing the page?

I don't care about special cases, such as Netscape 1.0 users, but the browsers and versions commonly used by companies these days.

Almost any modern browser should support this, it seems to be wrong in IE <= 6, but you should be fine, as this lack of functionality can interfere with many major sites / applications.

The following link contains a diagram showing browser support for several CSS classes:

Netscape 1.0 probably does not support this, since Netscape did not support it in version 4.0. A source
