Drupal 7 Views 3 glossary mode: where is it?

I searched everything and I have problems with the Views 3 interface. I can’t find where to enable the glossary mode in the view settings for the attachment. I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I see it on the screen to answer this question: Drupal 7 Views Context Filters

So it must exist ?! I am using Views 7.x-3.0-rc1

To create this work, you need to create 2 types of display.

Create Page Display

  • First create a page display
  • Add the appropriate fields that you want to display
  • Add the context filter argument that you will use for the glossary

In the field settings, be sure to select the "more" option and set the argument in glossary mode. I believe that you also need to set the default value to "all" or "a" or any other letter.

Create an attachment mapping

  • Add application mapping to your view

If you have created all of your fields on a page, this version should have all of them.

  • Override the context argument selected for this page.
  • Change this to display in summary mode. You will receive different options depending on how you want to display your glossary. Glossary mode should already be enabled.
  • Assign an attachment to a page in the attachment settings
  • Disable the inheritance of context filters (i.e. arguments) on the attachment screen.
The best advice I got to learn how to set it up is merlinofchaos , which is said to include the Glossary view in the watch list. He said to clone it and make changes. This gave me a complete picture of how this works.

You should have a context filter setting in the "Advanced" section of your view. Once you have it, click on the context filter. In the dialog that appears, click MORE to expand the items for this section. Check the "Glossary" box.
