The normal background image is 320x480 pixels. and for the retina, 640 × 960 pixels.
Now I need to put a background image, and I have a status bar (20) and a navigation bar (44).
So, do I need to reduce 64 (20 + 44) from 480 (normal) or from 960 (retina)?
- If I reduce 64 from normal, then the normal image will be 320x416 pixels, and the retina will be 640x832 pixels.
- If I remove 64 from the retina, then the normal one will be 320x448, and the retina will be 640x896.
It bothers me. This 64 (20 + 44) I am reducing from which type of image, because the other will be exactly twice or twice as large.
