Private cookie for my application? Why does this affect browser cookies?

When I enter my application, my cookie browser for the same site is lost. Why is this cookie shared between applications? Signing in to Chrome doesn't affect Safari cookies, how can I emulate this behavior in the App Store app?

I enter the website API and set the cookie with: [NSHTTPCookieStorage setCookie]

Using documents , I see two ways to get cookie storage:

– initWithStorageLocation: (deprecated, available on Mac OS X v10.6 through Mac OS X v10.6)

and

+ sharedHTTPCookieStorage

It seems that the first is similar to what I want, using a unique repository that is only available to my application. But is this method not recommended in Lion? How then do you use a private cookie for my application?

Not using cookie management, but using your own. IIRC Chrome on OSX uses the SQLite3 database to store cookies and implements several parts of the browser / http / network connection itself .
