Google search results in iframe alternative

I do not think that this is possible from what I read, but wanted to see if someone else was in a similar situation and found a more elegant solution to this problem.

Basically, I have a site that I create, nothing unusual, consisting of a section of the header, and then one large iframe to display the contents of the page. I know, I know that iframes usually look with displeasure, but for my needs it works wonders.

My problem is that in the page title I have a simple google search box (basically just an html form) and set the target as my iframe. Obviously, when searching for something, the results should be displayed in the iframe, however, all I get is a message stating that this content cannot be displayed in the iframe. That makes sense, and I'm sure googles design doesn't allow this kind of practice.

This would be the most ideal situation for me, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to display search results in my iframe?

I also looked, perhaps with a lightbox or a similar popup asking ajax to display a google page, but nonetheless it was unsuccessful.

You will no longer be able to use any frame, since Google has obviously put an end to this by completely blocking the frames. Your only solution is to use a custom search API and then analyze and display the results yourself.
