Can't get Xcode to see my distributor certificate? Code Sign Error: Identify "iPhone Distribution" does not match the identity in any profile?

Can't I get Xcode to see my distribution certificate? Code Sign Error: Is Identifying โ€œiPhone Distributionโ€ Does Not Match an Identity in Any Profile?

So:

  • In iOS Provisioning Portal
    • has a distribution certificate that has NOT Expired.
    • has a Provisioning Team profile (not quite sure how this is used)
  • We downloaded the distribution certificate and double-clicked it and imported it into the keychain
  • Go to Xcode - create distribution profile
  • In the section Product / BuildSettings / Distribution line => If I click "Distribute iPhone", no matches ....

If I see that the distribution certificate in KeyLink doesn't have to be a trigger for Xcode to see this?

Something is missing for me / how can I fix it, so I can push forward with downloading the application ...

thanks

I ran into this problem. I created a list of step-by-step instructions on how to fix it. Hope this helps.

IPhone Application Signature: A valid signature ID matching this profile was not found in your keychain

Just having a certificate alone will not help. You need to check if you also have a private key.

Click "Access Keychain" on your Mac and go to the "Certificates" section and check if your certificate comes with your private key. If this is not the case, then you may need to get your private key.
