Entity Structure 4 POCO stored procedure error - "FunctionImport element not found in container"

Question

Entity Framework with POCO objects generated by the T4 template. The added import of the function named it "procFindNumber" by the specified complex collection called "NumberResult".

Here's what happened in the Context.cs file:

Here's the stored procedure:

In my WCF service, I am trying to execute a stored procedure:

The error message says: "FunctionImport ..." was not found in the container

What am I doing wrong?

You need to define the import of the function with the name of the container.

For example, change this:

 return base.ExecuteFunction<NumberResult>("procFindNumber", lookupvalueParameter); 

:

 return base.ExecuteFunction<NumberResult>("EntityContainerName.procFindNumber", lookupvalueParameter); 

The name of the entity container is on your EDMX - right-click anywhere and execute "Properties".

I had a similar problem with EF 4.1 ... and it turned out that I would get this problem when the code worked in Release mode. In debug mode, it works great.
