Paste the latest twitter tweets into your website

I want to take the last 5 tweets from twitter and automatically update it on the website. I read a little about it, and it seems that the only way to do this is to create a press site. Any ideas? Thank you and let me know if you need more information.

[This does not require WordPress at all. Where did you hear that?]

Twitter itself provides a widget for this. It is somewhat limited in settings. If you need more control over things like appearance, there are bundles of jQuery plugins like Tweet that will only give you data that you can pump into custom markup / style.

I am sure that you do not need WordPress or any other CMS, technology or programming language.

If the default widgets that Su 'noticed were not enough, you can use your favorite language and use the Twitter API to get any number of tweets and update this list whenever you want.
