Good PHP classes that manage .ini files

Question

I need to be able to edit .ini files (which I read using parse_ini_file), but in such a way that comments and formatting (line breaks, indentation) are preserved.

Do you know good classes that have nice and optimized functions for this kind of thing?

You can try to start from this, it reads the ini file and saves the settings when writing, you have to expand it to support adding new records:

The PEAR::Config package has comment support, so I assume it saves them. Perhaps this suits your needs.
