Can I show a tooltip in an iOS app?

I want to show a tooltip whenever a user clicks an image in my application. I just want to know if a tooltip can be shown in an iOS app.

There are several ways to do this, however, I got lucky with the CMPopTipView project. As for tool tips, they are suitable for textbooks and similar events.

Is this what you were looking for?

Are you looking for a UIMenuController

Since iOS 3.2, you can add your own menu items to the editing menu through the menuItems property.

I had a similar problem and wrote my own hint. This may be the solution for you.

You can initialize using your custom view (suppose you write some delegations to detect actions inside.) And are present anywhere.

It may not be the best replacement for the UIPopoverController, but it works just fine. And a lifesaver for the iPhone. Also very customizable.

Hope this helps.
