How to copy text to clipboard in javascript?

I am wondering if there is a way to copy text to the clipboard. I know this answer well , but now it is older than three years. Has something changed since then?

The easiest thing to do at this point is to use a Flash-based solution. zeroclipboard is generic (a good walkthrough is available here ).

Browser vendors over the past few years have removed programmatic buffer access. Safari / Chrome lost its ability after a change in WebKit, and FireFox blocked it for a long time. Only IE remains the one who allows it, however it first displays a warning on every page.
