How to draw UML diagrams using Eclipse

What is the version of Eclipse that can be used to draw UML diagrams. This is what the Java version is, with which the tools for drawing UML diagrams come with it.

thanks

Probably the best choice at the moment is the Papyrus component in Eclipse Indigo. The exact version of Java does not play a big role in this, you just need to be able to run Eclipse.

Eclipse itself maintains a list of Eclipse plug-ins / tools for creating UML models compatible with the official Eclipse MDT-UML2 Eclipse project. See http://wiki.eclipse.org/MDT-UML2-Tool-Compatibility

The only professional quality tool that allows the use of java and UML is Omondo, but it is really very expensive. Funny rating!

Other plugins focus only on UML, but there are no real Java extensions. eUML might be a good free candidate, but it seems that the tool has been stopped http://www.soyatec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=955

One of the easiest ways is to use the PlantUML plugin for eclipse. This software is open source and really easy to use.

See the documentation here !
