Postgres Plus Cloud vs Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS)

Question

The Cloud Postgres Plus database was announced earlier this year.

Since I do not have much experience in clustering a database, I wonder which one should I use. Can someone give me a comparison between Postgres Plus Cloud Database and Amazon RDS in terms of features, cost, and service?

Requirements for our applications:

• high availability.
• There will be a very low load for our application.

PostgreSQL is not yet supported by Amazon RDS. So it’s not easy to answer your question.

Anyway: Heroku could be an alternative to the Postgres Plus Cloud database.
