I have a multitask paid application that I have been using in production for 18 months. In the past few months, I have tuned the runtime configuration to get maximum performance for my dollar.
I think I found a rather optimal solution, including some unoccupied instances, a maximum instance, a reserved clock, etc. Etc.
Currently, my clients are usually Europeans, so I find myself turning my idle servers into European day and night again.
This is a manual work, which I obviously can do without it, because it is time-consuming and error prone.
I am not going to spend less money, since my budgets are already set according to my customer numbers, I just optimize the response time that they receive based on their time zones.
I am sure that I cannot be alone in such an automatic setup, and I hope that it will be quite simple to implement.
Question: Are there any plans to release an API to manage these settings?
