Does LiteIDE x14 work at all?

I tried LiteIDE for golang and there are no documents to talk about, and apparently there was no forum. I installed Env for my environment and proceed with the installation. When I try to use it in the hello.go file (as a file or project), all I get is

<action id="Run" cmd="${TARGETPATH}" args="${TARGETARGS}"> <start=" " workdir="C:/liteide.projects"/> <error msg="process failed to start" /> </action>

(Sorry for the formatting, but the Code Sample tags in this forum cannot process XML blocks.)

Many other people saw the same thing.

What are the displayed TARGETPATH and TARGETARGS?

Is there any documentation on setting up LiteIDE?

LiteIDE does not seem to work. I filed this bug report and their advice was to try the latest beta version of the next release. However, this did not work.

Just an update for those who come here: I started using LiteIDE X (x14.1) on Windows 7, and it works great. :-) Lightweight and efficient ...

I don't have enough comments for comments, but just wanted to add that the latest version of x21 works beautifully. This answers your question "Does everything work?" with loud yes! = D

You must also provide a link to frequently asked questions as the project has moved to Github. https://github.com/visualfc/liteide/wiki/Faq

I have been using Liteid for more than 6 months and it works well. The current version I'm using is X27.1 and runs it on OpenSuSE.

LiteIDE, while the X30.3 version (December 2016), is quite mature and is still actively supported. I use it on Windows 10, Debian Jessie and Ubuntu.

This is a simple, open source cross-platform Go IDE with unique features that the other IDE does not have. A few issues that I had were more related to my X11 environment than to LiteIDE itself.

The following operating systems are currently supported:

  • Windows x86 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Linux x86 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • MacOS X10.6 or later (64-bit)
  • FreeBSD 9.2 or later (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • OpenBSD 5.6 or later (64-bit)

There is an assembly instruction that allows you to create LiteIDE on other platforms. Just don't expect support for this.
