Design a custom lock screen

I want to create a custom lock screen application that looks like an iPhone lock screen.

Are there any tutorials or examples for this? If not, where to start?

There is no support in the Android SDK for creating a “custom screen lock screen”. You can change the behavior of the lock screen in custom firmware.

Please note that Android 4.2 allows you to create application widgets that can be added to the device’s screen lock, which can satisfy your needs.
