Textmate, exclude file (types?) From project search

In TextMate, when I apple-shift-F to search for my project, I need to wait through a rotating beach ball so that it tells me that I do not have enough memory to load development.log. How can I exclude (development) .log from my advanced project search?

In the "Settings in Advanced Mode" section, there is an option for file and folder templates. To see how they can be used, look here .
