Remove screen saver manually in PhoneGap

Question

On iOS, I would like to keep the screen saver until my application is ready. I see that there is a flag in the .plist cord called AutoHideSplashScreen - if I disable it, how can I cause it to be deleted?

On iOS, you can call navigator.splashscreen.hide();

Support for this in Android is available from version 1.8.0.

A quick google search and I found this

Basically you need to do the following:

 navigator.splashscreen.hide(); 

On Cordoba 1.6.0 there is:

 cordova.exec(null, null, "SplashScreen", "hide", [])
